Patrick Cappiello
Patrick Cappiello is the owner/winemaker of
Monte Rio Cellars
His winemaking career began in 2017 when he moved to California from NYC, where he worked as a sommelier since 2001. After working harvest with close friend Pax Mahle he decided to make the move from the restaurant world to wine production.
With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, his wine career began in the late 1990s. In 2001 he started at TriBeCa Grill as the restaurants first Sommelier. After that he served as Sommelier at Veritas followed by a Wine Director position at GILT. In 2013 he opened the first of three restaurants where he held the position of Wine Director/Owner. Those highly acclaimed restaurant’s were: Pearl & Ash, Rebelle and Walnut St Cafe.
Patrick will oversee The Siren's Cellar and pour his own wines from Monte Rio Cellars making it the first MRC tasting room.

Bianca Nicastro

Born and raised in the heart of Healdsburg, CA, Bianca brings both a local’s knowledge and a global perspective to the wine world. As a certified wine specialist with a passion for making wine education fun and approachable, Bianca has guided everyone from casual sippers to seasoned sommeliers through the art of wine appreciation.
Her expertise is backed by extensive travels across 30 countries, many known for their deep wine traditions, allowing her to blend local insight with international experience.
Bianca’s laid-back yet expert approach promises to make your experience both memorable and seamless. With her, it's not just about the wine—it's about the story, the connection, and the shared enjoyment.

Jesus Aleman
Assistant Winemaker
Jesus grew up in Mexico and moved to San Joaquin county at the age of fifteen. He subsequently attended Sonoma State University where he discovered his passion for wine after learning about fermentation in a chemistry class. This led him to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Wine Business.
After graduating, Aleman moved back to the San Joaquin Valley to become assistant winemaker at Jessie’s Grove Winery, where he worked with some of the oldest vineyards in the country.
In 2023, Mr. Aleman finished his Master’s Degree in Wine Business from Sonoma State. In addition to his work as Assistant Winemaker with Monte Rio Cellars, he farms a Pinot Noir vineyard in West Sonoma County as well as an ancient-vine Flame Tokay vineyard in Lodi.
